Oh it’ll be more shiny soon, I ordered a chrome ring for the pickupI've always thought the T series basses were some of the best looking basses ever made! All that chunky chrome goodness and the chrome pickups! They're like the Muscle Car of basses! Love my T-40! I'd definitely like to get my hands on a T-45 though! Sweet bass man!
Yep, can’t wait to plug it in at some point
Should be beefier. It’s able to do single coil and humbucker with a turn of that middle knob and should get dubtastic with the extra tone knobNice head stock! The rest too. How does it compare to a P?
After 5 T-40’s I think I found what I was looking for. It’s the color combo I dig and one pickup will do. It’s heavy but balances perfect on a strap. Restrung it with labella flats(through body set) and will let it chill for a bit. The case is the best version and condition I’ve seen

Yep just with three knobs, volume, single coil to humbucker tone like the 40 and then an additional tone knobthat's a gorgeous piece of Peavey, the maple contrast is sweet. if I didn't have a T-40 that I hate all the many sounds of I'd still be dying for a 45, do the 45s have the same baked in circuitry tones?
So what do you think?Yep just with three knobs, volume, single coil to humbucker tone like the 40 and then an additional tone knob
Color differences can depend on the lighting.@redstrand
This is not meant as a hi-jack of your post.
I don’t know if it’s the lighting but I noticed a difference in hue between my ‘83 T-45?
Yours seems browner and mine seems redder. Or am I just imagining this?View attachment 4148127
It’s more brown on mineSo what do you think?
Is yours more brown and mine more red?
Mines more bursty and brown, I think outside it’s a touch more red than the photo. But those were shot near a window at work with the one led light above itColor differences can depend on the lighting.

Mine looks really red in this photo, but indoors under LED lamps it looks closer to brown.
