Chrome but the stupid screws from Lowe’s broke
Grrrrr, I’ll go to ace in the morning

I loved the chrome rings on the last T40 I had, always thought the black hardware looked out of place by itself.

There is some above the wood, I’ll take the ring back off and get my trusty pliers, tape the spot around in case I slip and take my time backing it out
