NBD: Peavey T-45

Love the burst. ... mine has become my go-to live bass, and yes it will do the P thing and hints at a J too.
Not outrageously heavy and as noted it hangs more naturally on a strap than a Jazz.

It's there but it's the most subtle I've seen in a T-series instrument. It's made me wonder whether mine has a different wood than the rest.

Not positive but your looks to be Maple...

OP nice bass, I gotta pull my 45 and re-check it out!

Color differences can depend on the lighting.

Mine looks really red in this photo, but indoors under LED lamps it looks closer to brown.

I don't see a lot of grain in this one, could it be made of maple?

Finally got to plug and let her rip.
Man it sounds great. Love the single and humbucker, the tone is usable throughout the sweep. The labellas sound great. I’ll be playing the hell outta this one

I just bought one myself - an '83 - same sunburst. I love this bass! My numero uno will probably always be my EBMM Sabre ('89), but this Peavey has that woody, thumping tone that hits the spot my Sabre can't fill. Congrats on a great instrument

She IS a beauty!! The T-45 is a bass I've always wanted, but wound up buying others. Now, there's not much point & the prices are out of my ballpark at present! CONGRATS!!!
