NBD! Schecter Limited-Edition Stiletto Studio-5 Transparent Purple Burst

Introducing my latest bass acquisition: Violet.

Been wanting one of these since I first saw a 4 string version in Guitar Center. Found this one on Reverb, and was able to come to an agreement with the seller. This is my second purple 5 string, and I like the look even more than I do the ESP.

Satin finish over purple burst is a bit hard to get a good photo of - it keeps looking like it's being viewed through a frost filter. I really like the more cool-tone purple, and love the big abalone dots on the fingerboard. Strangely, the sound is not quite as sweet as my ESP, but that may have something to do with the strings.

Weight is 9.2 lbs, which is 0.1 pounds lighter than my other 5 string. The scale is 35" and the previous owner put some SIT Foundation nickel strings on it. 45-65-85-105-125, which is not as evenly balanced as the set of Stringjoy 45-60-85-105-130 that I have on the ESP. At the same scale length, I like the feel of the Stringjoys better.

Turns out I have a gig bag all ready for it, and a new custom strap on order from Coco Guitar Straps on Etsy.

Calico cat will of course shed only white and orange fur on the bass and bag.

Thanks! I seem to have a thing for purple 5 string basses. I blame it on the band Deep Purple.

Schecters are underrated basses for some reason, but I see their guitars around quite a bit.

I love the current satin finish trend. I had a Stiletto Elite once and loved it. Enjoy! Really unique finish.

I dig RodRy's new bass... appears to be a quality instrument... like the thru-body design and the EMGs... and the color is choice!

I should've gotten another purple one for myself from GC's used page. The one pictured went back, because of a wonky neck. The blue one kills, though. Btw, how come your bridge saddles are so high? I put a Schaller bridge on, because the stock bridge was way too high, even at the saddles' lowest heghts.
