Yeah I did. I usually check the site multiple times a day and as soon I saw it I called and told them i'd take it and I'd be there to pick it up the next day. When I got there to pick it up the guy at the counter said that he didn't even know they had it and if he would've, he would have bought it. Guess it was meant to be mineVaughn, did ya buy that beauty from Daves in La Crosse? I saw it come in and was gonna take a look at it, but then it was gone!
I wish it was.I bet it's just the plastic. Peel it off.

You should look into the Novus plastic polish system. Three liquid polish system, one for heavy scratches, one for medium to light scratches, one for a final gloss finish, each one used consecutively. They also have their own polishing cloths, which I recommend getting extras . I recently used it to restore a VM P pickguard that had a few pick marks on it as well as some overall light scuffing, and it worked great. Looked brand new after I was done. Thanks for the welcome and responses. I haven't tried tightening the peg yet. I didn't pick it up til late Friday and had an early gig on sat. Barely had time to get the flatwounds off, new rounds on and brush up on some songsAs far as the pickguard, I'm not sure what the deal is there. Apparently the previous owner scuffed the entire finish with something? I tried to polish it up quick but it didn't work that well. Doesn't really make sense to me because the rest of the bass is close to mint. JACink my wife said this is the last bass, at least for a while anyway

I think it was elliot. He was interested in a sea foam green strat body I traded in on the bass.Do you know who it was that was working at the counter? One of the Guitar players in my band works at Dave's and he told me he wanted a bass that looked like mine (I have a FrankenFender with a similar color scheme).

You need to be sure it will fit. Squier and Fender guards are not quite the same. Here's a good replacement for that pickguard. I've bought from them before, very quick, cheap shipping, and it's as beautiful as it looks (and real swirl)

He seemed like a nice kid.Ha! That's him! He was telling me about that body too. I'm pretty sure he bought it.
Thanks. I'm kinda finding that out too. I had a stingray 4 and I still have a bongo 5. Both are great but i'm starting to realize you can get something perfectly usable for not a lot of dough. I have a ibanez atk305, sx ursa 2, and now the CV. I've gigged with all of them except the sx. I'm looking forward to gigging with the sx just haven't done it yet.Welcome very nice bass congrats and I love the bass world now because finding a great bass without spending a ton of money seems to be easier to do than ever before.
That vibration happens a lot on the A string cuz there is no string tree holding the A string down thus leaving an insufficient angle to the nut. Not enough tension on the string at the nut. If it's not your A string, then just ignore me. Haha. I have a couple Squiers that do that.I just joined talkbass and wanted to post my new bass. View attachment 596565 Actually picked it up on Friday night and gigged with it yesterday. Got it for a good price and it plays good, sounds good and looks good. My only complaint is one tuning seems to vibrate sometimes.
