While browsing though the store yesterday, I have also tried the Spectors that were there and this yellow tiger one felt and sounded the best of all of them.

Congrats!!! Walking into a shop with a great selection and money in your pocket is a peak experience for sure. That’s how I ended up with my jazz bass. Spent all day playing a whole wall of jazz basses. That Spector looks great too, enjoy it!!

Nice! I enjoyed the backstory as well. There is a reason so many of us old geezers keep telling younger folks to try out as many basses (and amps) as possible and not to rely on the literature. Hands on wins every time.

A little bit of story about it.

The guy at the store who was helping me with my purchase was kinda skeptical about the price of the instrument and the fact that according to the store system, it didn't come with any case, gig bag, tools, nothing. So, he went to the back... and got me this old thing.

The blue one sounded kinda weak and not as clanky and defined as the yellow one. Maybe it was due to the battery or dead strings or both, in any case for some reason this blue one did not sound nearly as good as the yellow spector.

Also, I was mostly interested in the ones with the darkglass preamp and bartolini split P/J pickups, so I was looking at those.

My bass still on the rack, next to the Spector Legend 6 string. The legends look really nice in person, way better than whatever you can find online, by the way. They are glossy and fancy looking, but I did not want a 6 string this time.

Playing my new friend at the store immediately hit me with that familiar feeling of "the sound in your head" when I think of the bass. She was clanky, punchy, clear, defined and everything about her felt great from the top of the headstock to the very bottom of the body.

After this point it was just the matter of trying to find something that felt/played better but I couldn't. Stingrays, Hagströms, Fenders, Sandbergs and even other Spectors couldn't even come close to this specific bass. I do not know what special magic went into making this specific Euro LT but it made it sound extra good, feel very premium and look like an absolute show stealer. It popped out from the rack right away when I saw it and I did not even care about the price. I just took her with me and now she is mine

Yeah @Katoosie, you're right. I sure didn't expect you to get that. What a sweet bass! And since you love the sound, sounds like a match made in heaven. Spector makes some sweet basses and now you have one of your own.

Should you Care to Share, what store did you buy this Gorgeous Bass From? It's VERY difficult for me to imagine that with several Spectors in Stock, ANY authorized dealer doesn't have a Spector Gig Bag or Case in stock. While only a Suggestion, I'd return to the store, case in hand, and politely but firmly ask for the Manager/Owner. Let them know that you spoke with a Former Spector Rep..... and that you'd like to get a Spector Gig bag as that's what the Euro comes with, and they can keep their Yamaha (very used) case. Should they give you an Ounce of grief (which they won't)..... let me know.

Update! I suspect that you'll soon be receiving a Call from Startsida Music so you might not want to get toooo attached to your Yamaha Case. . They appear to be VERY nice people. VERY Nice indeed.

The Store is the one you linked to...Yes? The Bass you purchased COMES with a Spector Gig Bag....$100. While you and I don't know one another here's a tiny piece of me. I get BUGGED when I see Females taken advantage of on ANY level. I've been in the Music Industry for 5 Decades. Although it's getting better VERY slowly, there's still a misconceived perception on the part of MANY Males that Music is a "Guy's thing". It's still that way with Far too many Players, Stores AND Manufacturers.

I realize that SOUNDS heavy and I don't want it to be.....but it IS a fact. When I find it, I do my best to fix it.

I've been in touch with DLX.....a VERY Polite and Professional note from my Heart to that of the Owner of DLX. Do I think the phone will ring? I do. Customer Service is the Only Way to fly......You deserve that $100. It's a VERY nice bag.........and DLX is a Very nice store. They simply Screwed up. ....we all do..... and then the screw up gets fixed...
