I'm not surprised at all that's what you walked out with. Spector has been making badass basses for a long time now and since you're already a Warwick girl I'm definitely not surprised you'd be digging the Spector vibe. The neck is a little thicker than a pbass and going to be more at home feeling. And they sound great! I've heard some sweet tones from people playing Spector.Talkbass!
I got a new bass yesterday!
So you might have read my thread about going to an instrument store to check out some basses for the first time ever, I have never done that before.

It's not a Fender. I didn't buy a P bass, but I did try them and I liked them
So, here is the case!
A little bit of story about it.
The guy at the store who was helping me with my purchase was kinda skeptical about the price of the instrument and the fact that according to the store system, it didn't come with any case, gig bag, tools, nothing. So, he went to the back... and got me this old thing.

While browsing though the store yesterday, I have also tried the Spectors that were there and this yellow tiger one felt and sounded the best of all of them.

The blue one sounded kinda weak and not as clanky and defined as the yellow one. Maybe it was due to the battery or dead strings or both, in any case for some reason this blue one did not sound nearly as good as the yellow spector.
Also, I was mostly interested in the ones with the darkglass preamp and bartolini split P/J pickups, so I was looking at those.

My bass still on the rack, next to the Spector Legend 6 string. The legends look really nice in person, way better than whatever you can find online, by the way. They are glossy and fancy looking, but I did not want a 6 string this time.

Playing my new friend at the store immediately hit me with that familiar feeling of "the sound in your head" when I think of the bass. She was clanky, punchy, clear, defined and everything about her felt great from the top of the headstock to the very bottom of the body.

After this point it was just the matter of trying to find something that felt/played better but I couldn't. Stingrays, Hagströms, Fenders, Sandbergs and even other Spectors couldn't even come close to this specific bass. I do not know what special magic went into making this specific Euro LT but it made it sound extra good, feel very premium and look like an absolute show stealer. It popped out from the rack right away when I saw it and I did not even care about the price. I just took her with me and now she is mine

Absolutely, it feels great and I really dig it! It's great! All I need to do is learn how to setup that bridge, that's all that is left for me to do with it

Loving the look and feel but the clank and growl is what got me
You know, I did not have any experience before that with going to stores and I was really surprised how the same model but in different colour would sound completely different. Like I wrote, the blue one sounded lackning in every way compared to the golden one. I just dont get it but apparently it's a thing. Could have been the battery or strings, I have no idea. It’s nice to have a 4 string on addition to your extended range bass. Different tools for different fixes.

Yes I did! Had to put it onfflat EQ (same with every bass) because for some reason the eq was all over the place in everything. No idea what people were doing to that ampeg stack and the basses Hahaha! I liked the stack
Again, same model of bass, same pickupsaand guts but 2 completely different sounds. I'm talking about the blue and my spector. Really odd to me. Thanks!
Oh yeah! It was sad to see not a single Warwick. Kinda sucks. Wish they put their basses in stores...That's freakin' awesome!
I love that feeling; you sit with it for a minute and play - you just know THIS is the one you are taking home with you.
This is another brand that I hear great things about that no stores in my area carry. Most of what they have is Fender, and we all know how you feel about them
Well, if I ever go get another bass, that's how I will do it. Go to a store and try it myself. Such a great way to find a new bass!
Yes I paid 23k sek but the guy gave me a small discount, too. And the noise is still there but I'm going to be taking out a light dimmer and replacing other stuff. Tomorrow the house owner is coming to talk to me about it, I'll fix itThat’s a real looker! Definite 5 out of 5 drooler.
So it’s the Spector and the Warwick. Does the Spector have any noise issues in your home or do you need to use the power conditioner with this bass too?

I have a similar reason but not quite the same: I went with #2 because I *suspected* it would lag behind #1.I went with Yes #2, since it was polling less than Yes #1 and my OCD can't stand an uneven poll.
#2 still lags.

Right? I mean, obviously those people who went with Yes #1 did so only because it was first in the list without realizing that Yes #2 is a far superior implementation. Both are affirmative choices, but Yes #1 is riding on its laurels (i.e. "Yes #1 did it right the first time."), while Yes #2 continues to innovate. Clearly, some people just go along with the crowd, while a few of us are brave enough to take the Yes less traveled. Congratulations! Beautiful bass, great color. I tried these out at a local store when they came out. Wasn't sure what to think about a Spector with anything but EMGs, but that Bart/Darkglass combo just works.
