A) Seafoam green and Surf green are not the same, so you are still mistaken there
B) American Original Precision (which is not in stock to purchase anywhere, btw) = $1979 + tax

His bass =
Body $375
Neck $700
Pickups $100
Pickguard $50
Pots / wiring $50
Tuners $80
Other hardware (bridge, plate, screws, thumbrest, strap buttons, string tree) $75 max
Strings $40

TOTAL: $1470 + tax (500 dollar savings if he bought it all new, less if used or discounted)

That’s about the same cost for an American professional II :woot:

I really wanted a seafoam green Fender P bass with the 60's vibe. Outside of a Custom Shop, they aren't currently offered. So, I built one! American Original 60's Neck, Vintera 50's seafoam green body, all pure vintage hardware, pure vintage 63 pickup, pure vintage tort pickguard and aluminum backing plate, CTS pots, switch craft jack, and cloth push back wiring.
