I really wanted a seafoam green Fender P bass with the 60's vibe. Outside of a Custom Shop, they aren't currently offered. So, I built one! American Original 60's Neck, Vintera 50's seafoam green body, all pure vintage hardware, pure vintage 63 pickup, pure vintage tort pickguard and aluminum backing plate, CTS pots, switch craft jack, and cloth push back wiring.

Feels great. It's 8lbs 10oz. Sounds great. Strung with TI's.

B) American Original Precision (which is not in stock to purchase anywhere, btw) = $1979 + tax

Close. The pickguard was a little more. Plus the aluminum backing plate. And it has TI's. They are a bit more.

You did save some cash. If you lived in Canada, you might have found this one for about US$2,100.

It wasn't really about saving money. I have 22 instruments. I could have bought the Surf Green AO 60's. I just wanted Seafoam. And didn't want one bad enough to buy another Custom Shop.
