NCAA Football 2022

Well gosh. The Mariners are out. My heart's broke. Like usual, but later than usual this year. Now maybe the Huskies are important again.

Washington doesn't have DBs. Amazing. They have been the prime supplier of cornerbacks and safeties for what seems like forever. Not this year.

The Ducks haven't been on OTA TV here too much this year, but I have a feeling that 's about to change now. The black and pink uniforms with a few green accents were pretty over the top, even for them.

Some other PAC team will probably take them out of the playoff discussion nonsense, most likely Utah or Oregon State. The PAC eats its own, as usual. I despise the portal transfer thing with a passion, but that genie's defintely out of the bottle. Decent change Bo Nix made a couple of million down the road yesterday, I'd say. GO NIKE! :roflmao:

Well, the Colorado State Rams did enough in the final quarter to win 17-13 over Hawaii. Not a game that shows up in the national stats, as they're the two lowest-rated teams in the Power Five. Of course, Colorado (PAC-12) is right behind, but they'll have a new coaching staff next year.)

The defense is solid, keeping their opponent scores low. On the plus side, every game, I consistently see a few more good offensive plays. I don't expect much this year - maybe they'll win maybe four games IF they keep improving. This week the coach (Jay Norvell) said the players who didn't want to play in his system had left. They're at about 60 scholarship players instead of the 85 permitted, so those who are left are the ones who buy in, and he says they can work with them. There was a lot of half-hearted play earlier this year, and those guys have all left.

It will be an interesting offseason in Fort Collins. With some new talent, I expect roughly twice the number of wins next year. When Norvell got to Nevada it was a dumpster fire, but after his first year they went to four straight bowl games. That's what I want for CSU.

Nice comeback win by Oklahoma State to take down Texas after being down by 14. The Pokes' D only allowed 3 points after the half and made Ewers look downright average. Next week's game in the Little Apple against K State could be very tough.

Every week in the Big 12 is interesting this year.
So far we know:
TCU is very good
OSU and K State are pretty good
OU, West Virginia and Iowa St are not very good
Jury is out on the rest
Texas especially. Ewers is a true freshman. Every team that gets pressure on him he looks very average. Give him a year or two and I bet he'll be scary.
