NCAA Week 7

That's all well and good, but how about the condition of your offensive line by that time??? :)

If they can't block, doesn't matter how fresh the RB's and WR's are....

You got a point. But how often do DL guys tackle WR's? Not often I'm sure you'll agree. So I hope you guys plan on cycling in fresh DB's all night. Same goes for your LB's. Once the Florida RB's get across the line of scrimmage, those tired LB's roaming around the field will be grasping for air.

The LSU defense is great...dominating. We haven't seen anything like it all season. But the same story can be told on your side of the ball. Feasting on Appalachian State (and don't you even start with some BS about how great they are) and North Texas has done nothing to prepare you for this game. Auburn and Miss State brought nothing to the table offensively.

You guys stole that game from us last year on your home field with one minute left. We had a sophomore QB then, and we weren't nearly as fast as we are now. Your defense was giving up around 40 yards a game, and we came in to town and ran up over 150 on you guys. Yes, I understand the only stat that matters is the score, I'm just pointing out that this game is easily winnable for Florida despite the supposed defense with nine DL starters.

The home field, the speed, and the Tebow factor all weigh in our favor. In your favor....the dominating defense and a gutsy coach. Maybe the LSU offense is better than I am giving them credit for?

It's going to be one great game. I so wish you and I could watch the game together. Some day my friend, we need to meet up and watch this game together.

Mike -

Absolutely, we need to watch it together one year! :)

As for the DL affecting the WR's, simple. If Tebow is either a) lying on his back, or b) running for his life because they've totally blown up the pass blocking, the WR's can be running free down the field and it won't matter much. ;)

As for the Gator's offensive firepower...explain losing to Old Miss? :D Yeah, that was a defensive powerhouse, to be sure, mmhmm, that's why they didn't let UF score at will, right...sure.

:smug:

Like I said, if the Gators don't bring their A+++ game, it ain't gonna be pretty.

As for the LSU offense, you mean the #1 offense in the SEC, right? Yeah, check it out, you must not be paying close attention, but dats de fax, jack.

:D

Trust me, you don't want Tebow running all over the field on Saturday. If part of Mile's game plan on Saturday is putting Tebow on the run, you guys are in for some trouble.

Well, we all lose games like that now and then. We scored 30 that day, which would have been enough to beat you last year or in your Auburn game.

Where are you getting your facts on LSU having the #1 offense in the SEC? I looked it up on ESPN.com. You guys are second to us in scoring, and you guys are second in yards per game. I don't see LSU leading anything in team offensive rankings. But hey, it is early in SEC play. Who cares who is leading after a few games right?

-Mike

The only thing I have to say about the LSU - Florida game is....

GO GATORS!!
That's the spirit!:D

Gard, I'd like to watch the Gators/LSU game one day with you as well. Maybe all three of us could do it at one time--it might take both Mike and I to balance you out on the talking!

Heck, I'll take all three of you (Dr. Stanky, of course I already got to beat up on him one time this season :smug: ) on, anytime!!!

:hyper:

:spit:

;)

...tomorrow will be a GREAT game, no matter who wins, trash talk or none.

:)

Oklahoma-Texas kicks in an hour! Lots of good ones on today. Here's the games I find interesting, and my predictions:

Texas 31, Oklahoma 27

This one should be a dogfight, but I like Texas and the more experienced Colt McCoy to squeak by.

USC 38, Arizona State 10

The only way Arizona State can win this one is if Rudy Carpenter plays. He's out. However, the Trojans seem to play down to second-string quarterbacks. With Gable and Johnson getting the rock today, SC wins big.

Michigan State 35, Northwestern 32

These two have a history of high-scoring, fun to watch games. Javon Ringer is the difference maker.

North Carolina 31, Notre Dame 17

Two teams that are a surprising 4-1 this season. Butch Davis and the Tarheels are for real, the Irish aren't.

Florida 24, LSU 14

LSU hasn't faced any adversity yet this season; they will today after targeting Tebow in the press.

Missouri 41, Oklahoma State 21

Oklahoma State hasn't played anybody of note this season. They will today, and Missouri will show who is the team to beat in the Big 12.

So the big bad DL from LSU who was talking crap about hurting Tebow is now injured and out of the game??? Sounds peculiar to me, especially since the game is in the Swamp. He didn't even travel to Gainseville with his teammates. :eyebrow:

So all y'all have fun watching your games today. I hear there is another game out by the Red River today that a handful of people will be watching.

The BIG game today is at 8PM EST on CBS. The first time the two defending national champs meet on the field in something like 20 years. I suggest everyone make a point to check it out. The bummer for me is this game is going head to head with Penn State, which I also like.

So glad Oklahoma lost. They never deserved #1. I was in a restaurant FULL of their fans, and holy crap were they annoying. I'm so glad they lost, and wish I could have been there to watch the defeat on their faces.

Now we get to see some great SEC action. Go gators!
