I was listening to the Tech game on the radio and one of their color guys, Sonny Cumbie who's a former Tech quarterback pretty much said Tech will beat Texas.
So for all you Texas fans and to Coach Brown, save your money and don't even bother coming to Lubbock next week. Might as well throw out the game plan for the Red Raiders and start preparing for Baylor.

That crap call didn't help, but the real issue with the loss was Jarrett Lee completing two TD passes to a UGA linebacker.
Props to UGA, they brought it to us in our own house, and props to LSU for never quitting...if Lee can get his act together, we'll be a force again next season....but we're done this year...
Y'know, that's just jerky. LOL @ LSU...nice...y'know LSU GAVE the game away as much as UGA won it...if Jarrett Lee weren't a freshman and making bad reads on crossing patterns, the game is TIED at the end of regulation, so laugh at that...

Good to see Bama play a full, complete game. Going into Neyland stadium at night as Tennessee's biggest rival is no easy task, regardless of how the teams are ranked, and we played solid football. No team in the country can beat us if we play like that.
And it was nice to see USC struggle with little ol' Arizona State. Polsters need to remember this when they cast their votes. But I'm sure it'll fade over the next couple of weeks after USC destroys a few more high school teams. There's no possible scenario at this point where USC should even be discussed as a NC contender. Their schedule is to weak, and they lost to freakin' Oregon State.
Texas Tech - wow. I didn't think they had it in them. But then again, Big 12 and Defense seem to be mutually exclusive of each other this year.
Penn State - I don't know if I should be impressed by this win or not. A win is a win, but honestly...beating the nations most notorious choke artist in a big game is hardly a surprise give how miserably OSU has played in other big games over the last few years. Too bad PSU doesn't have a chance to really prove they deserve to be in the top 3, and that the rest of their season depends on other teams losing.
Texas - looked mighty beatable yesterday. Better fix that before next weekend.
Florida - firing on all cylinders. Looking forward to the cocktail party. I think Georgia is going to pull an upset, but I'll be pulling for the Gators, if only slightly.
LSU - I kind of feel sorry for them. I think by the time their quarterback matures and gets some experience, the rest of the team will have slipped too much for it to matter. When Bama goes in and cleans house in two weeks, then Death Valley will begin having a different meaning than the LSU fans intendeded.
Just for fun, anyone care to start making predictions for Miami?

I'm a Bama fan, but come on, Tennessee sucks. Like I posted back in week two, Alabama-Florida for the SEC title.
USC shut out Arizona State 28-0 two weeks ago. USC beat Arizona 17-10. They held the Wildcats, who averaged over 40 a game, to 116 yards and 10 points, seven of which resluted from a Trojan fumble at their own 15. Like it or not, even though the offense struggles at times, USC is in the mix because their defense is solid. Yes, they lost to OSU - should Florida be out of the running for losing to Ole Miss, too?
The tough part of their season now begins. They don't have a running game, and they will be exposed. Next.
You say going into Neyland to play is so tough, but yet poo-poo going into The Horseshoe to play a Top 10 team? They've already proved they belong in the top 3 before their win over OSU. Your SEC bias is showing.
They will thump Texas Tech next week. They play better D than anyone else in the Big XII. Defense wins.
Florida will win by at least 14. Georgia cannot stop the run. Alabama ran wild on them, as did Charles Scott yesterday, and the Gators' pack of backs will have a big, big day.
Other than Mr. Scott, LSU isn't that good. I'm amazed Miles hasn't gone with another QB - Ryan Perriloux must look awful good now. Their d-line is so overrated it's not funny. Verne sounded so subdued last night, I almost felt sorry for him. And Gard.

That is a real possibility. When Tebow made his vow after the Ole Miss loss, I believed it, because he's a class kid and has proven he can back it up.

All of you LSU fans were all giddy about this kid because he pull a win out of his butt against Auburn (but were very quick to forget the first 1/2 of that game). LSU would be much better if Perrilloux was playing. It's sad to see talent go to waste like that.
Truth is that you can't win in College FB without a good QB (even more so than the NFL). The Big XII is good this year because about 8 starting QBs are at least above average and the SEC is showing that the teams to beat are the ones with upper classman QBs like Teabow, Stafford, and Wilson.
I agree with these statements, but I credit Miles and LSU for doing the right thing and not tolerating Perrilloux's transgressions, which would have been the expedient thing to do. (And it's not easy for me to compliment LSU.) I can think of at least a few schools that would have let him slide in the name of winning.
Agree 100%. Not sure how many chances he was given but some people just never learn. LP comes to mind.

We won in Neyland this year, but the Vols are losers this year, so it was like winning on a neutral field this go around. Maybe by the time we get back in 2010, they'll be better.

Is this because you think Bama will lose a game, or because you think Penn has played a tougher schedule? I predict Bama and Florida in SEC championship game. If Bama wins that, and is undefeated, there is no way, NO WAY, they are left out of BCS title bowl. BTW, Tenn has a ton of talent, and the Bama/Tenn rivalry is older and bigger than the Bama/Barn rivalry; It was a great win!
Tennessee is struggling on offense, not defense, where they are very good. Again, Bama is their biggest rival by far. We hate each other. Going into Neyland stadium like that for a night game in front of 106,000 people is never easy. We still gave them the ground and pound offense for 4 solid quarters, and minus a couple of botched special teams plays they wouldn't have scored. I'll say it again, when Bama plays like that, they can't be beat.
