Nech dive makes a bass harder to play ... I want to make my bass easier to play whenever possible.

There is a new band name in that thar post.Didn't say that.. but alright. You're just coming off as another salty internet expert whose opinion is the only correct one so I'll just leave you to yourself
Edit: half this thread's metaphorical vagina is filled with sand because people think the "neck dive issue" is overblown and that's hilarious

Cost was closer to $100.00 and saved 8oz which relieved the neck dive. Well worth it and then some.Light weight tuners??? Haaa! Exactly how heavy are oem tuners? Spend $200 to save 2 ounces at the headstock?
$100.00 for a half of a pound is a deal.Cost was closer to $100.00 and saved 8oz which relieved the neck dive. Well worth it and then some.
My Hipshots & Gotohs were purchased some years ago and I know prices have increased but comfort is my crack and I'll pay the price not to hold that damn neck all night.$100.00 for a half of a pound is a deal.
It's been a long time since I bought hipshots too...maybe $120.00 now? Still a deal.My Hipshots & Gotohs were purchased some years ago and I know prices have increased but comfort is my crack and I'll pay the price not to hold that damn neck all night.![]()

wild and "crazy" = whatever you can play "masterfully" with neck dive, the other cat, with no better chops than you: can play better, without it!Can a divey neck throw your back out, or something crazy like that?
i've done it! (~$185-$190?) TBH, i don't know how much the headstock "saved" as i went about it caveman-style: i put CF tuning machines on the ax and the problem was solved. but it was a way to eliminate dive on an ax with a very lightweight body and still use my go-to strap(s)...and, so i wouldn't have to change my postures/techniques/etc. still, i spent ~$3k+ less on that ax than theSpend $200 to save 2 ounces at the headstock?
who pays for a deluxe or custom ax with neck dive! Just “Johnny Cash” it ! View attachment 5020104
Neck dive is just a sign of crappy design and engineering. I choose not to support builders who can't figure out how to make a balanced bass.
