Neck dive...

OK, Ya'll...
For those of You with a sense of humor, THANK Youz!!!

For those of Ya'll, with Your G string in a bunch... here's where My post stems from (:roflmao:)...

I own a TON of basses. Some have a bit of "Dive", some are Perfectly balanced. I like variety in tone, feel, and looks. I was looking through the classifieds, as I just finished up the Emmy's, and will be starting the A.M.A.'s tomorrow. Sometimes, when a ton of money falls into my lap, I reward myself with a bass. YOLO, as someone said on this thread. Also... I really enjoy seeing "NBD" posts.

What I have noticed quite a bit is this... "Nice bass Bro. Looks great. Congratulations, but... looks like She has a bit of neck dive."

Can't we just congratulate the fellow, without asking?

If He/She loves the bass, let them LOVE the bass... Sheesh.

Also... I'm a pretty funny guy, mean no harm, and... was just asking.

Have a wonderful day, Ya'll.
PEACE.

Heya gebass6! Nice looking basses. And always good to read your posts but I must remark...............boy, you sure can stand at attention with a bass! :)
And yes, neck dive is a sin...let me say a SIN.
Yeah.
That was just to show that my hands are in no way holding the bass!

Really?

Honestly... how much of a big deal is it TRUTHFULLY?

Half of the time spent on "here", could be spent exercising, and practicing. Would this not make it a moot point?

Just curious.

Practice and exercise don't stop neck dive from twisting up my tuxedo. Other than that, it didn't really bother me that much. I had a heavy 2-Tek bridge installed on the bass, and no more neck dive.

I agree, you should probably practice more and waste less time on TalkBass.

I have already arrived and left the building, so I can waste as much time as I like.

Yeah it’s a big deal for a lot of folks that like things that function properly. Sorry

Letting us know you are not serious and the post is intended as tongue in cheek would improve the conversation.

Also to the people who always point out that a 52" wide strap will fix a neck dive flaw, that is still acknowledging that there IS a flaw that needs to be addressed. My EB0 has a wide strap to fix neck dive, that doesn't mean the bass is permanently cured of it.

A big wide grippy strap + a neck-diver is still going to pull your shirt all funny.
