New Arrival - Roscoe Century Standard Plus 6 J (Koa/BEM)

We'll I got my chance to see how the new Roscoe CS6J did in a live gig this morning. If anyone was wondering whether I would exercise my right to return the bass within the 7 day trial period, the answer would be a great big NO! :)

As happy as I've been playing through an amp & recording with this bass at home I'm equally happy with the sound of this bass in a live mix! WOW!
It set so nicely in the mix and when I wanted it to ride on top of the mix, just a slight boost of the midrange control and the bass totally step to the forefront. The X6 style Bart's really work well on a Roscoe. Still that big & warm Roscoe tone that we all love but with a bit more focus.

...And I continue to be impressed with the sound of the Roscoe's with a mahogany body!

I'm all ready thinking about have a similar CS6 built with a mahogany body/walnut top, wenge (or pau ferro) FB & soap bars or ...... maybe BEM Diamondwood lined fretless with the JJ p/u configuration more towards the bridge.

You guys (Roscoe) hit a home run with this one!

Thanks Greg! Another VERY happy customer!:)

Here's another gorgeous Century Standard Plus 6-string from Roscoe. It plays and sounds as good as it looks! I'll try to generate a quick clip in just a bit...

Imagine that - another guy who wants 34" scale and 19mm string spacing! I even stopped by the Guitar Center in North Olmstead OH to try the Century 6 they have there - but nope - that little bit of "give" in the first finger with the 35" scale kills it for me.

KerryCares - I'll be in your neck of the woods the week before Christmas. Any place you can recommend that might carry some great instruments, other than the Guitar Centers in Southfield and Allen Park? Thanks!
