New Darkglass Compressor: The Hyper Luminal Hybrid Compressor

I was about to pull the trigger on the Super Symmetry when I learned that they were discontinued. This new model look promising. From the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

The Hyper Luminal Compressor features the first hybrid design in a compressor pedal: an analog VCA controlled by a digital side-chain allowed us to capture and include the characters of some of the most legendary compressors in history while keeping the signal path completely analog.

As usual, any questions: post them here.

Regards,

Hi. When migrating from rack units back to pedals, I've tried some newer compressors recently to replace the DBX 160. The EHX Black Finger (noisy), Markbass Compressore (good, big, then decided to get rid of tubes in my pedalboard), Boss (the old one, lacks lows) Aguilar TLC, that I kept in the end. What to expect with this pedal over the others?

New Darkglass compressor announced!

Very interested in it. In the IG post about it, they wrote about "digitally modeling side-chain circuits" to develop the voice of this unit. I don't see an "in" for using another instrument for an actual side-chain. I'm also curious about the touch pads for Ratio and Mode.

I had the Symmetry, and it was a nice flavor, but it seemed a little limited as a compressor (pardon the pun), relative to other devices I have tried. I'll be interested to hear how this one sounds.
