For people who like to detune, that 36” E is going fantastic. It could be tuned down to CFBbDb and go two frets higher than a standard Fender. I would probably just drop to DGCF.
Go John. Love it!!Interesting twist for this signature is a Rupert Neve designed preamp, which is apparently the first ever made just for bass. The model pictured is a limited edition color way. The standard colors will be: Black, Vintage White and Seafoam.
I'm most interested in the preamp, since it seems fairly standard besides that. It officially drops tomorrow at NAMM, so hopefully we get some sound samples.

That Black P-bass just blew my mind. I never knew that existed but I need to find one now.![]()
I bet it’s gonna be amazing. I’m researching as we speak how to get my hands on one. And I may have to sell my only 5 string to help pay for it.I've got one very similar on order, due in November. 4-String Super P, black with black pickguard, maple neck. Mine will have black blocks, though.
I'd be happy about it, but I guess I've invested in a Diet Oreo, eh?

I had to try a Dingwall 5, I have to say I felt the tone options weren’t as wide as I was hoping, I was very underwhelmed, I sent it back, but they look cool. Not my bass cuppa tea, but very cool indeed. John is great. Saw Duran Duran just last year and he sounded killer w his Dingwalls.
YUP. Aria Pro and Peavey.Always been a big fan of JT's sound - nothing quite like his tone...
It’s in the accompanying backpack for stage useI find it cynically amazing how quickly Neve's name has been stretched so quickly after he died. A Neve "preamp" inside a bass? Can't wait to see how heavy the audio transformer is in that... ;-)
