Neon Strings = a cheap gimmick....
but for an almost white P-Bass they are killer. And they play very well!I just saw this thread. I have bright yellow's on my Fender Am. Dlx. P-Bass.
Everyone that sees them comes over and talks about how cool they are. I was in Guitar Center with the bass and strings, and had to answer a lot of questions about them lol! People Really like them.
My bass has a maple color. The strings make is look great. I would not put them on a Foderabut for an almost white P-Bass they are killer. And they play very well!

My bass is natural maple color. The strings make is look great. I would not put them on a Foderabut for an almost white P-Bass they are killer. And they play very well!
Edit: Tried to attach a photo but cant get it sized correctly yet.
Edit Again lol: There ya go bro. I tried to do a bigger one but it would not take. Hope you like it. It looks better with the whole bass.
Ah, I really wish there was a red. I have a MusicMan SUB that's red (that matte texture), and I don't think green, yellow, pink or orange would look all that great. I have a black Aerodyne Jazz that I'm definitely going to put some on, but the SUB is my main bass right now.
Currently have Black Beauties on there though, and I LOVE them.
Arrrrgh they're so pretty! Why must they feel so funny!? *cries*

I have played coated strings before, Elixers and DR Black Beauties. They felt a little soft and gummy, but I could deal with that. This new K3 coating actually squeaks under my fingers if I run my hand perpendicular to the string. It's like chewing foil, nails on a chalkboard, etc.
sunbeams with k3 coating... Magical ideal!!!
And sunbeams hvin an amazing sound anyway!
Q. Why do you use DR Sunbeam strings and can I get something else installed on my bass?
A. I think the Sunbeams are probably the most sonically pure string I've heard to date. The nickel plating keeps things smoothed out.

Here is the best way I can think of getting the RED color across...
If you have a set of Hi-Beams, or Sunbeams, the DR Red Devils matches the Red on those packages... HOWEVER, due to what I assume is printing or age of packages, the red may vary slightly...
This image I hope is an accurate representation of the DR Red Devils "Red"
