New DR neon strings

I love the Orange DRs on my black Custom American Fender Jazz 5 String with mirror pickguard. I play the crap out of them on about 5 different basses and they always stay in tune and sound great, orange holds up pretty well too.

I love the look of these, but I know I could never pull these off on my bass. Plus, they might be a bit distracting when playing in church haha.

I've been using neons for a while they're great strings, just bought a white set a few weeks ago. Unfortunately these will probably be the last set I get since my jazz isn't shielded theres too much hum for me . I didn't have any issues on my US Millennium... :-(

So just back from the first day of NAMM 2014. DR has finally released NEON BLUE and NEON RED sets!

Today they only had the BLUE on a bass. When there is no black light, the blues look pretty much like the brighter Cool Blues, but once the black light turns on they glow! NEON Reds were not on display unfortunately. The packaging looks a little pink, but it was an issue with the printing which should be corrected on the next packaging run.

DR will start shipping these strings within the next couple of weeks!

I just put the neons on that bassstringsonline had that sale last summer was it? anyway they sound kinda good...but the E string is much louder then the rest of the strings...I put the pickup all the way down and it did nothing...is that normal for these strings? I like the A D G! mellow and can get some sizzle on my 74 jazz.

I just got a white/rosewood SBMM sub from the classifieds. I'm thinking of going full on silly with some neon strings.

Maybe the rocksmith colors? Red-yellow-green-orange

Or maybe all blue.

Any suggestions?

Ordered a multi-color 6 string set for my Conklin GTBD-7 yesterday, can't wait to get them in and installed.

I was sad to hear that there is no high E/F string option available for me. Conklin sells uncoated string sets on their site in either an .018 or .022 gauge. Apparently only available in a .030 gauge for a high B/C string on DR's site.

Low B - 125, E - 105, A - 85, D - 65, G - 45, C - 30

Might be stuck with 1 odd uncoated string. Will post pics when they're on the bass.
