Compared to a full size active Stingray, the Tone Hammer pedal has a bit more adjustment available (the sweepable mids really help in that regard), but it took literally two minutes to dial in a tone that was identical to the active Stingray. While I'm usually a plug straight into the amp kind of guy, I'll definitely be using the Tone Hammer whenever I want that active tone. My bandmates loved it, but my guitarist pointed out that the SS Stingray still sounded fantastic without the Tone Hammer. For certain gigs, I'll play the Tone Hammer. For most gigs, I'll just play passive. How did it go?
