New EBMM Short Scales 2025

Makes sense. I also thought maybe cause it'll be the most in demand, so why not.
My guess is that you need an ash body that looks like it's worth paying $3k for. .
All of the EBMM short scales are ash bodies . The SBMM imports are a different story .
They are. But you can hide a lot under an opaque finish and still have a fantastic looking and playing instrument.
As much as I love rays, I love Ebmm Sterlings more. I would love to have a short scale sterling.
Cool new finishes...now...time to get the 5 strings (in 32 if needed?)

Currently evaluating which internal organs I could offer on the black market to fund the purchase of that Showtime flavored ‘Ray. Wow!
Color me interested! I do think SS with a preamp would be my preference if available.

I think so. But others might not.
In general, I think that's a nice crop of colors. The Oxblood really got my attention and, while I really like the finish of the Showtime (the 3TSB), I don't like the look of it with the black hardware. I think it would look much better with chrome.
The things that surprised me are 1) that I didn't like the Natural as much as I normally would (maybe a black pickguard would look better than tort on it - I know, hard to imagine ME saying that!), and 2) I really like the sparkles, though I think the Mystique (green) would look better with Chrome hardware. I do like white pickup cover on the Mystique! It's a nice look on a white pearl pickguard.

Really to bad that they simultaneously both confused and cheapened the Sterling name by taking it from being a top quality alternative to the StingRay and making it the name of their budget line as well.
