New EHX Bass Clone Chorus

Got mine in yesterday and got to spend time with it today. I like it, it is different then the boss/mxr sound that I'm used to but i dig it.
The final test will be Thursday at band pratice

Ps, i already put purple knobs on it :)

Could you be specific in what way its better than the Stereo CT or the Tech21?

No probs.

It slays the Stereo CT because it sounds almost exactly like it but with gobs more low end and the ability to filter out the low end from being too effected. Consequently the tone sits much better in a live mix and really stands out on its own when soloed. I personally love the EH chorus sound because I love the Peter Hook New Order sound. The Stereo Clone theory that I had nailed the tone of course, but got completely drowned out in the music I play, which is much denser frequency wise than New Order.

It kills the Tech 21 because to my ears the Tech 21 is one sterile sounding summabeeyotch. I loved the lack of LFO, but it had no character. The EH just oozes mojo. I cannot belive these things are only $68 bucks with free shipping. I am getting another one so I can have more flexibility on the fly.

Tonight I discovered a TRIM pot inside that seems to control voltage and the overall "juiciness" of the chorus.

I was able to dial in a very subtle wobble that worked well with distortion, on up to that really intense liquid chrome "T-1000" tone which I cant stand in chorus pedals, and back down to that dry and somewhat metallic "hooky" tone.

Im hoping someone that knows what they are talking about will chime in on this. I think its just a polarity thing perhaps. I just fiddled around until it sounded good and wasnt distorting. But maybe if you want that really metallic raspy 80s clone theory sound you might want that?

Possibly a bias control for the delay chip which I would guess is factory set for a clean tone...

I do not recommend adjusting the trim pot. It does in-fact set the bias for the delay chip and is set to maximize the headroom of the chorus, minimizing distortion.

Anybody gone from an Ibanez Prime Dual Chorus to this pedal?

I like the assymetrical nature of the pedal in the demo video, and I don't really use the flanger much, and very light if so. Wondering if I'm the only one still with the Ibanez on his board.

Here's the reply I got: "Hello. No it was designed for 9 volts. It does not have boosted power rails to handle the extra power.
