New EHX Bass Clone Chorus

I have it as well! It's my first bass chorus so nothing to A/B, but it sounds great to my ears. I would personally go easy on the depth and rate in my current modern indie rock band context, because that 70s and 80s vibe is obviously in there!
I was interested in the crossover, but I prefer it without it engaged. Sustained notes on the A-string of my Squire JV Precision just don't sound very pleasing with it on, sounds somewhat like the EBS Octabass that I had when it struggled to track those same exact notes.
Anyway, I like it! Does a great job to pronounce the mids and sounds fantastic with chords and fretted harmonics.

This sounds amazing! I was hooked on the ending where they paired it with the DBBM which I have and also use in combo with a chorus pedal

I really liked small clone on bass. Now it has useful options for sound. Bought it, waiting for a parcel.
How are you guys using the tone controls?
Im finding cutting the treble to about 10 o'clock smooths out my hot and bright signal. No more "ice pick" signal peaks like i usually get with chorus. And that bass boost is no gimmick. Pounds of sweet and juicy low end!

The beauty of the EHX chorus pedals is the limited filtering on their delayed signal that allows so much more bite than most choruses, but you will always have a fair amount of noise from an unfiltered analog delay-based effect. I love that this pedal at least lets us choose how much! I modded a Small Clone years ago to make it more versatile, but a big compromise is that all the new settings with increased delay time were very noisy (ala the "Deep" setting on the Analogman chorus, which is basically just a boutique Small Clone, but with more filtering and other slight modifications).
First time live with the Bass Clone on my board yesterday. Really loved it.

Settings on the BC: depth between 1 and 2 o' clock, rate 11 o' clock, bass and treble flat, X-over off.

I've got it.
I hear more pronounced bass and I can hear analog noise. Crossover really helps with my bass big muff.
I'm happy with it.
But I don't understand is bass knob always manipulates clean signal? There's always will be clean low with bass knob?

Yes the bass knob manipulates only the clean half of the signal. With it at 50% and the crossover off you are getting a true 50/50 clean/modulated signal mix. The bass knob does this because we find having low end modulate as a chorus does can quickly get muddy and unintelligible. Having the bass knob only affect the clean half makes it more useful to boost low end in the pedal (especially with the crossover on) without muddying up your tone.

Also i'm interested, do you know what the inspiration for the pedal is? Was it because so many bass players were using the CT for that vintage CT tone?
It's the MN3207, same as most of our clone pedals.
Pretty much we knew that the Small Clone / Neo Clone were decently popular on bass for "non-bass-specific" chorus pedals, so we figured making an updated one with some extra bass-centric features would be a welcome addition to the line.

hey im the guy who made the demo video somebody posted above. just chiming in to say, after a month of heavy use, i loooove this pedal. i dig how it can be set very subtle, or wacked out and over the top. the eq controls are very musical, and between them and the x-over, its easy to dial in low end fatness. reall cant go wrong, especially for the price.
faithful, isn't that precious. Your chorus IS special, and before it was invented the world suffered from it's lack.Stop it ... (please). You guys are killing me... tuff to stay faithful to my MXR Stereo Chorus.
I love the (very inexpensive) EH bass clone in a mix loop 60/40 because it is quite strong...for a single line I've been able to equal it (but subtler) with the MXR bass chorus deluxe, crossover on, rate to taste and depth 3pm, level 10 oclock, treble all the way up.
Just ordered from AMS, $68. If this pedal is as good as everyone says, that's a very high ratio for performance to price. 
Getting mine on Wednesday, together with the Eau Claire Thunder, can't wait!!
