Those 3 Embassy colors all look great,but i am in lust with the cream one.
I tend not to like bright colors but that was definitely the best of the 3
Keep it in direct sunlight when you're not playing it. It'll get there eventually.
Just ordered Both the Embassy and T-bird. Went with white(of course) for both! Cant wait to get me hands on them! The 2 by 2 headstock on the Embassy was actually how they looked when they came on the market in 1963. They didn't change to the Batwing until late 64 ish. Took a little getting used to the long upper horn but... I have to have one!

Dang, the Embassy...I don't know why I want one, but I seem to want one. But I have a stupid amount of basses already, so I probably won't.
I'm hoping I'll get to try one of these soon at the amp shop, because I want to see if I can dial in a more Gibson type tone for the new project with my L2k.
Nostalgia is fueling my desire for one,but i can't help thinking that at that price point,the end result would be disappointment.
You may be right. Would never order it sight unseen for that reason alone. Dang sure ain't paying $3000+ for a vintage one, though!
The previous (I guess still current until these new ones surface) Classic Pro T-birds weren't much more list price...and they were quite decent imho...I am holding out hope these will be equally good and the slightly lower price (of those T-birds, not the newest announced ones) is just reflective of it being set-neck as opposed to neck-thru

At the price they want for them?!?! I don't know why anyone wouldn't buy both the Bird and Embassy! The white one will go nice with my 65 and 66 Embassy's I have now!
More like $6k+ nowadays......i sold mine for $3200 9 years ago.......
