A higher powered EA micro looks like a good idea. I thought about getting the original design, but to be honest, the lack of an XLR DI really makes me shy away.
I agree with this. I think the DI is actually a low impedance mutli-pin out type deal, but you would need a stereo 1/4" jack to XLR to make it work (I think). That's not a good thing if you actually want to use this head's DI in a live situation (not many of those cables around).
I guess the simplest thing would be to make up a short cable with a stereo 1/4" to female XLR end to use with it. It wouldn't take up much room, and you could feed a standard mic cable at the venue.
