Hopefully it'sa guitar 10 then, with a real 3 way xover... that might be a nice compromise.

I don't see this as being inherently bad.
It's not inherinrly bad. It's just not what I'm looking for. I prefer my 410 for larger gigs, and a single fifteen for small/medium gigs. If the fifteen is the same dimensions as a 410, it doesn't serve my needs.
Fair enough. have you checked out the Bag End 15s?
it will be the 10,s in the current bass cabs.
Sounds like it will also be up against Carvin's LS1503.

Avatar at one time, (I had one), made a 115H cabinet that was the same box that their 210 and 112 cabinets are in now.
Roughfully 23"x17.5"x15.5", sounded surprisingly good.
It had a 4 ohm, 600 watt, Kappa Pro 15" speaker and horn in a front ported cabinet.
Wish I'd have kept it!
a 1x12 2x10 combo would be nice......
