If you're looking to just replace the speaker I'd probably go with an 8Ω Black widow

If you're looking for a new cab I'd get one of the new 115MBE from GK when they become available, which would also be my preference over the new speaker old cab combo

God I envy you, please let us know how it sounds with the amp, I have been told the UK will get them in a couple of months, this is worse than waiting for my yearly love session with the wife :rollno::(:D

Home from travelling. Stacked the MB210 on top of the 210MBE (sweet), found a cable and powered up at midnite. All works, but didn't want to wake the neighbor kids. Today I'll give it a good test run. Then later I'll pair the MBE with my Seymour Duncan Bass 400 head. I'll let you know how it goes and post pics. I do feel lucky.

The MB210+210MBE is great. All that I was hoping for, sound and total weight, of course. Sounds so much like the MB210 alone, but with the volume/power of the full 500 watts. Makes sense to me. The 210MBE has a horn on/off switch as seen in the photo, and a 1/4" and speakon jacks. That's it. I leave my horns on. Connected it to my Seymour Duncan Bass 400, flat as usual, and the cab sounds clean, but 'dark', I'd say. Somehow I expected that after playing the MB210 for a few gigs. The Bass 400 (~300 watts@8 ohms) really drives the cab. The Bass 400 has an unusually large amount of pre gain, and the cab took most of it without distorting, unless I thumped the B string. All in all, for the price and weight, I love the pair. Now I'm wondering what the 212MBE will sound like... can't be greedy as appaarently I'm the only one, here at least, that received a 210MBE. GK most certainly got more than ONE cab from China. I'm going to China on Tuesday. If I knew where the plant was, I'd pay a visit! Wouldn't that be interesting?

WTH? RMC shows these as in stock now, but MF now says 8/30/10. GC and Music123 don't give a date.

Has anybody heard/witnessed the other stores shipping them? I guess I picked the wrong horse in this race. I should've been on the RMC mailing list long ago.

I'm thinking about getting rid of the MB210 all ready. All of the "wait" time for the MBE210 is ridiculous. The only thing keeping me from doing it is the weight of the thing. If the Ampeg NEO would have any good reviews I'd get one now. I just know over the past few years the newer Ampegs haven't been all that great. Guess I'll just keep waiting and get use to being underpowered.

The 210MBE has been in stock for several weeks, check that your dealer actually has it on order.

I placed my order with Musician's Friend in March. In May, I had to call to get it renewed since it was taking so long that their system was auto-cancelling backorders. I just called them today and spoke to an Acct Mgr who said it auto-cancelled again on Aug 10. Great, so now I'm back to #16 on the list, but hopefully they'll get more than that... if they ever get any in the first place.

It's the same story as Guitar Center. They've had multiple POs in for months, but nothing has shown up at their door.

I talked to RMC Audio. The guy I talked to said they received a total of TWO, so miner49er11 was one of the lucky ones! The guy told me he needs to talk to Jason at GK about something else, so he's going to call as soon as they're open around noon Eastern. He'll call me back with what he finds out.

My 210MBE arrived yesterday.

I hope this all gets straightened out quickly for you guys who have been waiting so long... I can't imagine the wait can be that much longer. They do exist.

I talked to Jeff at RMC Audio. Jason at G-K told him they've got the 210MBE in their warehouse and would ship him one right away. RMC will send it off and it should be here in a couple weeks. My order with Musician's Friend has been canceled. Fingers crossed! :cool:

For people who can't wait anymore for the MBE 210 cab, read this:

A coupla weeks ago I was at my local GC just friggin' around and I stacked an MB210 on top of the Acoustic 2 x 10 Neo cab and it fit and sounded great (playing an Ibanez SR500). The Acoustic is 8 ohms, handles 600 watts (I think) and is only about 5 lbs heavier than the MBE210. But it is bulkier and costs $50 to $100 more.

Fortunately, I can (and will) wait for the MBE210. I do not want to miss the sonic synergy (I know, LOL) between nearly identical stacked cabs.
