New Gallien Kreuger MB 210 & MB 115 PART 2:

Try removing the grill alltogether and then tightening evey screw you can find.

Also, make sure the rattle is not coming from doors in the room that do not close tightly. The amp will cause them to vibrate and, due to room acoustics, the rattle sounds like its coming from the amp's speaker rather than the door.

LOL... That drove me nuts one night when I first got my 1212L..

I just picked up the MB115 from guitar center. They were pushing their coverage plan, which sounded well worth it. Do you think I should get it? It was a floor model, but its all they had. (supposedly only on the floor since Thursday)

Still rocking my MB115 - just played a LOUD gig (two geetars w loud combos/loud drums and keys) with my rock n roll band over the weekend and the thing kicked ass. I run a VT Bass pedal into it for the rock gigs and man it sounds good.

For my upright bass country band gigs the amp sounds awesome also.

My big rig has been sitting idle for so long now, I am thinking of selling it. :hmm:

Same here with my MBE210 extension cabinet. I got an outdoor gig in August and I keep getting emails saying the cab is back ordered. I sure wish they would get it out.

This is peeing me off too, I contacted GK who said the MBE 210 cabs would be released end of July, I cant understand why its taking so long, they are already making practically the same cabinet with the MB210 amp so why the delay ??

Bob Gallien himself said the demand for new product has far exceeded projections. He is hiring and training as fast as possible. The China plant is all G-K owned and operated so he can't just pull anyone off the street and put them to work. They must live uo to the US plants standards. The cabs and speakers are made there.

I'm surprised that they didn't think these would do as well as they are. They're tiny for how much sound they put out AND affordable. Really, that's about all you want from a bass combo or cab.

Remember they were released during some of the worst economic times in resent history, certainly since he started up his company. He's a very smart man, but could not predict how well they would do in light of the current times. We certainly want G-K to be around and not fold up due to some poor decisions?

I've had mine ordered for over 2 months and it keeps getting back ordered. I sure hope it's worth the wait because I'm starting to wish I had gotten something other than a GK. I all ready went "cab-less for one "bigger" gig that I really wanted to have it for. I have another in August. The only thing that's keeping me with GK so far is the weight of the 210...can't beat that.

Hey guys,
I was messing around with those knobs on the MB212 and found a neat little new feature. But I think it might be dangerous for the life of the amp, so if you wanna try it, do it at your own risk.
So here it is:
I maxed out boost and gain, and moved the master a hair up (and by hair I mean the diameter of a hair, seriously). Otherwise, you ARE going to make a lot of noise and probably get a heck of a scare like I did.:D
If you guys already knew this, then notice me if it is harmful or not.
-Raf

Huh? What is the "neat little new feature"?

Could this be a plant to have us all blow our amps so we have buy new ones? :eyebrow:

I am being patient with the MB 210 cabinet, good things come to those who wait, I think it will be worth it, had a rehearsal last night which reminded me just how good the amp is so can only be better with a cab :hyper::D
I wont order mine until I know they are in the country (UK) because the price could come down, I paid £500 for my amp about 6 months ago and now they are £470 !

I know...this has most likely been covered already in the dozens of pages of post on these combos.

I see the GK Neo 212 is only 8 ohms and the new MBE212 can be had in either 8 or 4 ohms . So I was wondering, what total ohm load are the speakers in this MB212 combo. (I realize there is no speaker out jack on the amp)
