It took a few gigs for me to adjust to the standby light but now I feel reassured that I have a working electric outlet and I kinda like it. I put a tiny piece of electricians’ tape over it - still visible at the right-hand edge but not as bright.

To me the Legacy sounded more old school, I have a MB200 it sounds more modernish..

I use both a MB500 & a Legacy 800, several gigs/wk. The 800 is my “go-to”, the 500 is in a rack for when I’m providing PA, which is about 1/3rd of my gigs. So I’ve now used both extensively live.

They’re both clearly in the GK tone family. Their EQ stacks, though laid out differently, work about the same and I find I set them very similarly. The oft-discussed “flat” setting is pretty much the same for both, IMO. The tone switches have different names but similar functions. I don’t ever use them anyway.

There is a sparkly quality to the high mids and the highs in the Legacy that’s more similar to the older RB series, and is not the same in the MB, though it’s a subtle difference. It really shines in a live setting.

I also feel like the low end is a little tighter on the Legacy than the MB amps, again more similar to its bigger RB predecessors.

The way the boost functions work on the two amps is very different, and the topic of another discussion.

I could be happy with either, but I like the Legacy as an overall package very much and it will continue to be my "go-to".

WOW!!! I can't believe how Badd ass this set up sounds, WA 12 4ohm. with the Subway 12, it sounds better than my Subway 15 with the 12. So I don't know if the down firing chinger has anything to do with it, it looks funny but who cares, I will try this set up on the next gig!! And yes I remembered to change the ohm switch on the back of the Legacy 800
