New GK 800 Legacy!

It's covered on page 8 of the manual ... There's a high-low-off switch.

Has anyone had a chance to compare the legacy 800 to the 1200 in terms of how much difference in impact the 1200 has vs the 800? I'd be running 2 4 ohm cabs at 2 ohms to maximize the wattage output.

I haven't compared but I have the 800 and I run it at 4ohms with 2 cabs and it is loud punchy and articulate, I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to add another cab and run it at 2ohm but I don't see a reason to, GK has always been conservative on their stated power handling, every GK amp I ever owned was louder than it stated, I believe my 800 can handle any size gig I get thrown at me, I've been using it mostly with a Mesa Subway 12 and its plenty loud and this is with a fairly loud guitar and power hitter drummer in a 5 piece variety band!

I read your review, it's on the negative side of the spectrum, I like mine it provides that in your face bass that GK is known for, what cabs did you use for the review. I run my Mesa Subway cabs with my L800 and its killer all the way around..

I also read it thanks to Chrome translation
It seems to me the review compares a lot the Legacy to 800 ,and on this point yes the Legacy doesnt perfectly replicate that.
But otherwise the review seems positive !

No, not negative, but...
I will try to explain my impressions:
The Legacy is a very good amp. And yes, I compared my old 800RB with the new Legacy. Why? The legacy is based on the same "DNA". And "something" more.

So I expected an amp that sounds similar to the old 800RB. I expected a copy of the 800RB. You can hear the common DNA. But nn my ears, the "basic sound" of the Legacy is more clean, with a pinch of more bass. I miss the LoCut-button...
If I want that typical GK-growl, I had to use the overdrive. I like the "boost" of my 800RB, I also like the overdrive from the Legacy. This overdrive offers more possibilities to create a sound.
So I would say, yes the Legacy sounds like his old brother, but I also would say: The Legacy sounds a little bit different.

I guess I should of said the review was just a hair on the negative side but only because it doesn't do the 800RB thing perfectly, I like GK because I used them for about 90% of my music career but just amps not cabs, there's nothing like GK tone out there anywhere IMHO...
