New GK Lead Sleds

This looks great! Cant wait to try one out.

Lead sled is dramatic though. I mean its about a foot deep, 25 lbs. Overweight breadbox is more accurate.
Word!
I used to own/gig a Peavey Classic 400 - heaviest production amp head.

97 lbs of tubey fury! Shoot, the output transformer weighed 55 lbs all by itself.

So 25# for these new amps doesn’t scare me one bit.
My only reason not to buy one is I’m happy with the amps I already have.

It’s not just placing the amp On top of a cabinet, it’s loading the truck it’s carrying it to the venue, many players use mass transit (especially in Europe and large cities here like NY), some have experienced back surgery or other issues that impact their ability to carry 25 lbs long distances (or okay standing with heave basses), etc.

I worked as a union stagehand for many years, I know the difference between kidding around and disrespectful. Our shop stewards did too and they nipped disrespectful behavior before it cause more serious issues. We worked with a lot of international touring crews and it’s not hard for something to get out of control.

Let’s assume that you were kidding…
i've noticed you intentionally pick fights with many members on this forum.
you've intentionally taken what i've said out of context to do so again .
its obvious that such actions and drama excite you

i'm not giving in to your abuse...pick someone else

I always wondered why Rich Duvall, John Chumley, Kris Dilbeck, Gary Noble, and even the nicest-guy-in-the-world Tien involuntarily let out audible groans any time the conversation turned equine-esque.

I would guess that he new GK design is a great one that will satisfy many players. I hope that this thread will get back to player’s impressions and eventually hands-on reviews.

Praising or criticizing the performance of an amp is fine and welcome, but don’t expect that posting false or misleading information about other designs on a public forum will go unchecked. The amplifier brand/weight/class tribalism is a funny thing.
