Holy cow. That's amazing. You should do a tour of your studio and show the entire herd.

Well, I've ordered the EHB1500 before it was available in the store because a few years back I waited for a price drop on the SRSC 805 NTF but then came the disappointment that they were only manufactured for a limited period of time....
I suspect the strong interest in the EHB series is due to a few factors:Yeah, I think they cut back on the finishing options as a cost saving measure because those models may not be selling well (single cuts are definitely not for everyone). I think the EHBs, though wacky as they are, are less niche overall based on the amount of the broader appeal. My EHB videos WAY more popular than my other ones, and though that data is definitely not representative of the entire bass community, I think the trend in traffic for these instruments shows the amount of hype/excitement behind them.

Hi, have a question: Are they limited run? I mean, will be there the opportunity to get them during next months?
I suspect the strong interest in the EHB series is due to a few factors:
- Other headless basses on the market tend to be really expensive, really cheap, vintage used stuff, or quite niche in their feature set. Ibanez seems to have found the perfect balance of pricing, features, and looks.
- Ibanez as one of the biggest companies in the instrument world, will generate a lot more interest when they decide to do something, compared to much smaller companies like Strandberg, NS Design, Brice, Kiesel, or tiny boutique shops.
- Ibanez kicked off the new EHB series not with a whimper but with a bang, offering several models to choose from right off the bat, showing they are very serious about it, and that will make people sit up and take notice.
Ibanez may have just created an amazing new series of basses, extravagant but with attitudeCombine that with the excellent value and build quality Ibanez is known for. I don't mind that they're (only) build in the premium factory in Indonesia, I have a SR1200-VNF and that one is crafted masterfully.

Second video of the day up! Answering some questions about the Ibanez EHB1005MS. Enjoy!
I did a mod to my EHB1005ms. The only thing I didn't like about the bass is the locking outputjack. I don't know if I have too large hands? I can't press the unlock tab without a struggle.
I removed the jack and replaced it with an equal size jack plate and a swithcraft jack.View attachment 3802879
Surprising of Brice tone for first try after unpackaging, is not a Ibanez competitor (because cost less) but is not only an inspired instrument that cost a lot less.

It's not a competitor in terms of price (but it may be a competitor in terms of availability... or lack thereof... BAZINGA!), but they're definitely in the same "niche". The Brice isn't a bad instrument, but you can definitely see where the R&D budget went when playing the Ibanez EHB. It is much more well thought out and designed vs the Brice.... but the Brice is less than half the price (if you could buy new).
My experience has been that if the jack wants to come out, its generally better to let it come out than lock it in which may result in amps falling over or people tripping on your cable even harder (taking you with them if its locked!).
I think of it in terms of my time in South America where if you picked up a stomach bug, you didn't want to take something like Immodium to keep it in. You wanted to get it out!
The only scenario I can think of it being usefull is if you are crossing a mountain range and fall and that cable is the only thing keeping you plunging to your death.
If it pops out in the middle of a song, then ya gotta work on situational awareness...
