That ramp looks... a little funky. Is that an illusion or is one side taller than the other?
Ah! Okay. Thank you for clarifyingI placed thick double-sided tape and moved it closer to the treble side of the instrument because of my playing preference and right hand approach![]()
Cool! I had my b1004se stringed BEAD.
I really don't like BEAD, that's why I sold it. I can't play a bass without a low B with the band and I can't play a bass without a G-string at home.![]()
I did a simple recording today to compare my LTD1004se with the Ibanez EHB 1005ms.
I recently sold the LTD so I had to use an old recording and try to play the same pattern with the EHB.
I played with both pickups and then neck and bridge. On the ehb-track I played both with and without the onboard preamp.
Hey, will the ehb 1005ms hold AEADG tuning?
Low-A means lower tension than the standard tuning on the lowest string. So, why not?Hey, will the ehb 1005ms hold AEADG tuning?
I think the main issue is whether that low-A will sound articulate enough, and whether it'll be too floppy.Low-A means lower tension than the standard tuning on the lowest string. So, why not?
That would be another thing, which I couldn't answer in real practices as I don't play with the tunings in question other than tried it temporarily, which to my ears the notes sounded okay along the neck. The EHB came with D'Addario XL .130 low-B string, which by far felt as the stiffest low-B roundwound string that I have right now on my 35" scale basses (the others are Dunlop SB SS .120 and Dunlop SB Nickel .130T).I think the main issue is whether that low-A will sound articulate enough, and whether it'll be too floppy.
Wow, your home studio is starting to get crowded. How many basses do you now have total? I'm trying to keep my herd at six, so by the time my EHB1000 arrives, I'll need to cull two to hit that number (I'm selling my Dingwall and my SR650). I might possibly sell my NS Design Radius too, as I can't really think of any songs I'd use it on with its unique tone.Just placed an order for a 1505ms and the Brice just arrived today. I see a three way multiscale headless showdown in the future.

That is exactly what i mean. Thanks.I think the main issue is whether that low-A will sound articulate enough, and whether it'll be too floppy.

I have the 1500 on order with Sweetwater and was on the phone with them yesterday. I was told they were only 2 of them in the first batch and I was number 2. Whooo thank God. Lol really didn't wait any longer that I already am. Ordered on March 12th.
Hi, have a question: Are they limited run? I mean, will be there the opportunity to get them during next months?
Well, I've ordered the EHB1500 before it was available in the store because a few years back I waited for a price drop on the SRSC 805 NTF but then came the disappointment that they were only manufactured for a limited period of time....I don't think so. There's plenty of places to buy/preorder. I bet they're probably going to expand the model range next year based on the popularity of these things (or at least I hope). Speculation only.
