My dilemma is about this bass 4 string parallel. I like substantially the basic one but I don't like his sound respect the Northstrand one that I don't like Aestetically. If I spend more for a better bass I have a bass that I don't like cosmetically and if I spend less I have a "cheaper" sound. If I spend for Pick Up replacement I spend more for a basic one that I like instead for the better one. A nonsense I hope they'll do a basic one with basic Northstrand PUps.

Here are a few videos that show how little difference the wood actually makes to solid bodies (though they're about guitars, not bass. I couldn't fine similar videos about bass).
With chambered bodies like the EHB series or the Rob Allen basses, it seems that wood choice would have slightly more effect on the tone than solid bodies, but still not nearly to the same degree as on something like an acoustic guitar or violin, because chambered is still quite a ways from fully acoustic, due to how thick the walls are, and how much of a solid block of wood remains in the center of the body. This means it's really the pickups that are creating most of the tones we hear. Fancy wood is really just for eye-candy and marketing.

Same for sustain. I think it was Darrel Braun on YT that recorded with a solid body that he progressively hacked more and more from the body to show that the amount of wood in the body had ZERO impact on sustain.

...this is true, but only to a point. Instruments are made with wood types that are strong enough without being too heavy or dense, otherwise tone would be severely impacted. Mahogany and Ash are not kissing cousins, but they're in the same community. I'd love to compare a completely balsa bass to a completely ebony bass. You would definitely hear a difference.
I am. I thought they'd be the first to get these because they seem like a big operation, and they gave me a good price. If I'm not the first to get one, though, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
I’m pretty sure Ibanez didn’t plan on the demand these are drumming up. I think your gonna see a whole different marketing and production level next year. Because of YouTube and all of you.
Roasted maple and chamber body kill the attack/presence/hi-mid to my ear..
It's difficult in my opinion referring to a component of the bass tell that and how change the sound.
Bingo. I've been asked a lot "how does _____ impact _____ in the instrument's tone?"... f**k if I know! There's so many freakin variables to what makes a bass sound a certain way. Folks attributing tone to a specific characteristic of the bass without any basis for that attribution is IMO a little frustrating as a reviewer. I'm looking at an instrument as a whole, as a combination of its parts. Statements about the impacts of a 1 mm thin piece of purpleheart in a neck, or any small bit as it pertains to the tone of an instrument seems to be hypothesis at best and pure conjecture at the worst. Obviously I'm not talking pickups, electronics, etc. Talking purely wood/chambering/etc..
Your next EHB series strings/pickups swap and compare video will help a lot in dispelling misconceptions. Everyone's waiting with abated breath. It'll also help many folks with their purchasing decision dilemmas.
I think the wood can make an impact but apart from chambering and EXTREME wood differences (i.e. basswood vs rock maple), I feel the electronics and hardware can have more of an impact on tone.
And, of course, the player has the most impact with technique, positioning, etc.
After a try on EBH 1005ms and SRMS805 , I prefer SRMS805 tone , but the EBH 1005ms roasted maple neck are awsome , buttery smooth and comfort .
To my ear, the EBH has Room-Reverd like dark tone along with some boxy-like voice .
It is not bad tone, just unique. I believe the hollow body bass player could accept that unique voice.
I also touch , yes, just touch the 1505ms which pre order by someone. I found the grain on the neck (like most SR neck ) make it feel less slick as 1005ms roasted maple neck.
On 1050ms high price tag, she is lacking Premium Fret Edge Treatment , but the fret edge still quite smooth .
About B string tone quality, due to BH2 pup on the SRMS805 , the B string sound better and more even string to string tone than my previous SRFF805 (BH1 pup). Compare to EHB 1005ms, the B on 1005ms sound little blurry after 6th fret, but SRMS805 still able keep cleaner sound until 11th fret.
Finally, I bought nothing today. I love the look, superior roasted neck and green colour from EBH1005ms, I sell few of my bass because she. Sadly, not licking with it unique tone and B string tone quality. Now I just waiting for some pickups or string upgrade video share by 1005ms owner.

The SRMS805 is a really, really good instrument.
But on my hand side by side, I prefer EBH1005ms feel, look, weight, neck.....
