One thing I'm really liking about the new Ibanez stuff is that more of the lower line basses are receiving easy access flip-up battery compartments that don't require a screwdriver. The SR500/505 now have it and the new SR700/705 and SR535 have them too. It used to be that only the Prestige SR basses had that.
The Ibanez Prestige SR1005 with the flame top is still dead sexy, but the new SR705 and SR535 are dead sexy as well.

Dammit! I'm looking for a new bass, my first 'decent' one, been torn between a Geddy Lee Jazz or G&L L-2500, now you throw THE best looking basses I've seen, into the mix 
Going by the knobs, these are quite versatile, no? I've been longing for a neck-thru and that SR706 is just painful to not touch
SR535 is also damn pretty... they also seem pricey for an Ibanez

(note to self: scratch Ibanez off list until maple boards come back in style. A 706 with w/maple board and a little wider string spacing at the bridge would be killer...but I guess that's what keeps the independent luthiers in business...)

SO excited, I cant wait cuz, i was about to get a btb 455, now maybe the 305 will be cheaper(their just about the same bass anyway)
If they do that finish in a 5, I'll be all over that. Love it.
Look two posts above the one you made, not in a green, but is essentialy the same bass...

Not for nothing, but if those are the only finishes available in the United States, I am very disappointed. The Ibanez Japan, and Canada websites show natural BTBs that look a heck of a lot better than the one's on the North American site. I guess the American division of Ibanez wants to only pander to the hard rock image.
Not really there are some different features, imo get the new 575. The 455 is pretty damn good too. I have a 450 and I love it. Being honest here I haven't played many basses that have as good as a feel

Ibanez makes pretty damn good stuff and remember it's just a name on the headstock. i think they are bargains for what you get. The feel is so good.
Thats a matter of personal preference, I like that green finish a lot better on the btb 570 then the natural look on the 670.
Yup, that's a seriously sexy update. I love the new horns and the fact that they ditched that brushed aluminum hardware in favor of the black (smoky chrome, whateva they call it) fare. I'm really curious about how the Bart MK2s will sound, too. Neck-thru, too? Man, that looks metal as hell. Can't wait to take one for a spin. I haven't been this fired up over an Ibby since the BTBs first came out.

When I was thinking of buying a BTB, I factored in a full hardware swap into the price. That brushed gold is UGLY!!!!
Im still not keen on the new BTB shape, reminds me more of a Peavey than a BTB
Which is a shame (not dissing Peaveys, just not a fan of the shape), as the new mono-rail bridges look sweeeet!

I ordered th BTB prestiege 6 last friday, they are already in stock, my dealer said about two weeks wait until delivery. Think I'll order the black stain model for backup. I think they come in around $600 and the prestiege was $1200 even.
I saw that... I was wondering specifically about the green finish - Ibanez don't always offer their full range of finishes on different models. But, in the absence of the green finish, the black one looks pretty damn nice too.
I'm diggin the BTB as well. Cool body shap and construction. I just CANNOT STAND that DAMN RDgr headstock logo. I think it looks cheezy

I'm glad it's not on the BTB. on the UK site, they only have the BTB670/5/6... am I missing something here? or is this a very old version, seeing as the UK never get new stuff before the US
