I spent 2 HOURS on the 575 the other day. I love that bass, and will ahve one. That is most at home I've ever felt on any 5 strings. Plays a lot better than many of the basses 2 and 3 times it's cost that I've played. This bass is a STEAL at $750.
I'd love to get a hold of a Vari-mid EQ and stick it in the BTB with the MK2's. Maybe I can order one through the Ibanez parts thingy...
I just got my BTB575FM home after a long trip, man was I anxious to really put it through its paces. Took it to practice for this Jazz/Pop choir, man did it kick ass. One song, "Headlock", starts with this really cool synth line that stays in the low register. So I turn the bass control up to 75% and play with my thumb at about the 20th fret. Boy, talk about thunder! I love it! It's a perfect compliment to my SR506.
Normally I hate white basses, but that SR535 with the gold hardware is nice looking. If they made it in see-through teal I would snatch one up right away. Ever since I saw a 6-string Ibanez in that color with gold hardware at a pawn shop I've been trying to find another one. I would've bought it too but after I got my tax returns back, I went back to the shop and it was gone
