I watched the video, me likey. Sounds like it might be pricey, have been wanting a preamp with a tube.
Optical digital output? I don't do any home recording, but I would think USB would be my choice for ease of use and not rca or spdif.
Yes I thought the optical out was weird, too, but certainly a somewhat unique (if useless) feature.
I am a tube preamp junkie. I’ve had a Noble, Shaw Tube Injection, and currently have a Shift-Line Olympic MkIIIs. Love tubes!
Any advice you can give on tube preamps would be appreciated. Looking for one that eases into distortion for a natural gentle fuzz. Think of it as clipping on a strong note but clear otherwise.
I run my Shift Line gain about half way and it gets a slight bit of hair. It will get wooly if you crank the gain.
Neither the Noble or Shaw would really go into overdrive.
Played through it at NAMM and it sounds excellent. Definitely call me interested.

I sure would love to hear more about this pedal. I am really interested. With all that's going on in the world, I'm sure the release will probably be pushed back even further...
At NAMM they would not give any indication when it was coming. Best answer I could get was "sometime in 2020"

Honestly... I was thinking this was going to be a pricy pedal given everything it has in it.. but that's almost the price of a brand new HX Stomp.. I'm going to have a hard time justifying that.
It reminds me of that pedal by darkglass that has the Eq on it but with a few more goodies, I currently use a Markbass Combo head 2/ Little Mark 3 head as a DI at church and Im considering a replacement.
Thomann sells it for €399 which is about $475. Should be available within 7-9 weeks.
The digital out is definitely a strange choice, might work for some people though.
I find it weird to have the effects loop send on the left side and return on top. And the loop is post drive but pre EQ. So if I have a cab sim in the loop I would have EQ after that. I’ve never seen that before but I guess I haven’t really looked either.
But I would love to try one. The small samples I’ve e heard sounds good.
