Hi. I'm 30ish, been playing bass since I was 14, and occasionally even get paid for it (whatta concept!) I play for a small recording studio (and a rock band) in Alameda, Ca, and as such have access to more gear than I actually own, but the stuff with my name on the receipt is:
Steinberger "m" series, ca 1988
1/2 Double Bass of NAMM show origin
Ampeg B2 1x15 combo
Ampeg fridge, dubious vintage, but definately older
A Peavey XXX 120w head with 4x12 cab that gets used for upright bass amplification (clean channel, of course) and the ultimate studio fuzz pedal.
A bunch of other guitar stuff because I play baritone in a metal band, but nobody here cares about that

.
I stumbled on this site while searching for upright bass bridge help, and was impressed with the polite posting, knowledgeable players, and tolerance of new guys. This place is great, and now I too know the joys of yakking and reading about bass, bass, bass, when I can't get my hands on one!
