New mesa subway amps and cabs!

how many of you are using 3 of the subway cabs? I'm considering pairing my mesa head with the subway cabs.
The 210 / 115 setup sounded really good to me. Anyone have 2 115's paired with a 210? If so what extra depth, slam (whatever you want to label it) do you get with that extra 115?

Another question, for those that have played through 810's or a pair of 410's, in your opinion does the 210 / 115 stack get pretty close to moving the air that a good 810 or pair of 410's will move?

Has anyone tried the headphone output on their WD-800 yet? I had put some new flats on my P-Bass and am on the road with just the amp. I listened through the headphone output to check it out and the E and A strings sounded all phasey and weird, so I thought well damn I must have twisted the strings on install. So I restrung it, same problem. So I tried my jazz bass, which I know sounds great, and it had the same problem.
@agedhorse does this have to do with mono/stereo? Not a big deal, just wondering if this is normal behavior?

Hmnn. Weird. Sony MDR7520s. 24 Ohms.
It's most pronounced in the lower registers of the E and A strings. Like the overtones of the low end are phasing.

No, and I can't think of any reason why the amp could possibly do this to the signal. By any chance do you have any effects that might not be bypassed?

You might be hearing the natural effect to the attack and decay envelopes better through headphones, and certainly any beating between notes would be more clear.

Thanks @ahc, but I know the jazz bass sounds great back home and I tested with it, so not a pickup issue. I did try pushing the P Bass pickup down to see and it did not alleviate the issue.

Thx Andy. I'll bypass the pedal board and see if I still get the problem.

Actually, I toured with Sony headphones for years and years, wore out quite a few pair of 7205's and 7202's. Some of the best and most comfortable headphones I have ever used. I still have a pair in my lab to test Subways with ;)

My 20 year old Sony HD 280 set are on their 3rd ear cushion set, still my favorite headphones.

Yeah this is definitely odd. I have owned a number of Sony pairs as well and they are usually super reliable. Something is going on with these. A strange disparity between the fundamental and the mids. Here is a quick recording of the P Bass with Dunlop flats. Finger style, digging in with open strings to highlight what I am hearing. Does this sound normal to you guys? Through my Sony headphones, it is quite terrible.
