New mesa subway amps and cabs!

I’m diggin the damping, never seen it on an amp before, expect other will as well. yMMV!
For your impression of the damping feature, does it impact tone or feel more? Have you tried any different cabinets yet?

You ever listen to the smooth jazz stations? slap bass galore.

for mainstream pop, How about Bruno Mars? even Muse had slap lines in two pretty popular songs

One hit single, with a brief slap lick, a handful of album cuts from a band that haven't had a big single in a decade, and a niche genre...

I'm not saying that nobody ever plays slap (or muted), but just that it's everyday use in the majority of music, played by the majority of bassists, is inversely proportional to the amount of time devoted to it in music stores, and demo videos.

This wasn't about who likes slap / muting etc, it was just about product demo's, demonstrating the product effectively to a wide audience, rather than a niche.

I'd say both...this berg cab is neutral with other heads, and with this head more articulate on high, like a 210 instead of a 212, more like a 115 on low, looser and fatter. So prob more feel with a dose of tone too. But I'm still on bypass and kinda old school, and lovin it so far!

Guitar solos are dead too, but you wouldn't know it from Guitar Center.

Think we should start showing some pix!

Ordered mine from Mesa Hollywood and it is arriving Monday. They’re already on their second shipment and they have them in stock!

As did I - the 2-12 is my birthday/Xmas/New Year/Labor Day/(insert favorite holiday here)/anniversary present rolled into one. Mine is supposed to arrive Monday, as well. Too bad I have no gig until New Years Eve...
