New mesa subway amps and cabs!

The D800 stack was the headliners, not mine.. I'm crazy but not that crazy!!
To MESA...
I was curious and I looked at the Mesa website for local dealers to demo some of the cabinets...local for me being Metro NYC and Long Island.
Surprisingly, there are no MESA dealers on Long Island or the outer boroughs where there is a huge concentration of musicians and venues and only one in NYC - Rudy’s Music which is located in the SOHO area..choked with traffic and extremely difficult parking. Not conducive to buying amps...and the last time I was there they did not have an amp room to test gear.
Unfortunately there’s not too much of a live music scene in Manhattan due to the crazy rents..which might explain the lack of music stores. Sam Ash and GC are here plus a few small shops but none carry MESA gear unless it’s used.
It would be great if MESA were to open a store in our area or sign on some additional dealers ... it’s close to impossible to demo your product unless it’s used or another musician is using it.
Music Zoo has a really nice space and they could display your whole product line. They have a huge Fender showroom.

Have you guys looked at the manual? Wow... I thought the D800 manual was perfect, but the Mesa team brought it a notch above with the WD800.
Well organized, "for the impatients" section on page 3, plenty of details for the amp geeks, etc.

If you happen to find yourself in the Trenton area, you might try Russo Music Center. They were still a Mesa dealer the last time I stopped in a couple of years ago.
It's really sad what has happened to the MI industry. I was in NYC a few months ago, and I'd hoped to stop in the Warwick store. It's gone.
Yes, it’s very sad to see what has happened to the NYC music scene.. totally decimated..
I’m familiar with Russo Music.. I purchased my first SWR SM-400 from them. I’m glad they’re still in business.. Trenton is a journey from Queens and between the tolls and traffic it’s just not practical..

I received the Subway+ Preamp today!
Wow, it’s huge!! Bigger than any pedal I’ve owned. I didn’t look at the dimensions...thinking it was a slightly larger than normal pedal. The good thing is that it will replace my Broughton HPF pedal so I’ll have plenty of room on my board.
I’m going to run through the paces later today!

I received my WD-800 & 215 cab from Hollywood Store today and didn’t get a foot switch or candy, so I think a few people just got lucky.

I'm originally from College Point, so I get it. I live in Northern New England, now, where the nearest GC is an hour drive and there are no local options better. Whenever I need to go south to visit family, I try to hit Russo's. Even they are a shadow of what they were 15 years ago, and they were one of the top independents in the nation, then. Medley Music in Bryn Mawr went out of business, another top indie (and another Mesa dealer).
Seems like a good fit.
You could move your tuner over to the other side, and have it out of your signal chain... if you wanted.
Russo’s was a great store.. I remember that transaction and they had great customer service.
These days with all the traffic.. a trip to Jersey is a full day.
I have family in College Point on 127th.
I was torn between the wd800 and d800plus... but I believe my wife bought me the wd for Christmas (she rocks)!! but now I see the subway + preamp pedal. how close does she (the pedal) sound to the real d800+?? and would it virtually give me a true d800+ by running her into the wd bypassing the wd pre...
