New mesa subway amps and cabs!

Will swing by the Mesa store in Hollyweird tomorrow. Looks like the WD-800 will get a baptism of fire at the Steely Jam holiday show at the Moose on Saturday.

So far I'm liking the Subway+ preamp a lot. I've been swapping between running into the effects send on the Forte, then through the Ak C1203T, and into a K10.2. I find with the K10.2 the parametric is helpful as I'm running the HPF around 60 hz, adding some bass, cutting low miss around 150hz, boosting hi mids around 750 and keeping treble flat. Helps take some of the hyped low mids that is baked into the cab and fills in a bit of mids. Couldn't quite nail that with the regular subway (but could get close).

My WD800 arrived today. My first impression with the SW115 & SW112: Incredible! The tonal flexibility and power in that small package is unbelievable. My hat is off to Andy all the Mesa guys. You knocked it out of the park on this one.

My first experience with the WD-800 was with those two cabs and I too was floored at how great that set-up sounded. Congratulations on a truly killer rig!

That's my setup for the last 3 years, (112/115) with the D800 now to be graced with the WD800.
Can't put it through it's paces til later in the week.

My WD showed up today and I was able to run it at a rehearsal tonight through a borrowed Subway 115. It wasn't great circumstances to really fiddle with all the features but initial impressions are great. Certainly reminded me of the few walkabouts I've had. What was apparent was the way the notes felt, even at medium volume. That was probably my least favorite part of the D800(+) line. I'm looking forward to running it at louder gigs with an additional cab.

Such sweet irony! Andy said they had some burning in for the first sales. I wonder if these are considered the very first production batch.

I did some silent headphone practicing last night and it sounds incredible! The heft of the tone from this beast is so good! Can't wait to hear more examples from some professional recordings using the WD.

I know this is a subjective question and the WD800 has basically just hit the market, but can anyone compare the WD800 with a Bergantino Forte?
I own the Forte and I dig it. I was wanting to have something with the tonal variety the D800+ has. I was thinking of just adding the Subway® Plus Bass DI-Preamp to my current setup, but then the WD800 came out. Thank you for any input y'all might have.

I'll do both of those shortly. Later today will have WD-800, D800, Subway Pre, Subway+ Pre, and Forte in the house. Probably will try to get @steubig over and do an ampalooza.
