New MXR pedals

Too new for either one yet. I actually just saw the finished product for both for the first time on Saturday morning. MXR has become very much a bassist friendly company. A lot of it has to do with there being several KILLER bassists within the company. Scott Skiraki is a killer player with plenty or chops and as for Darryl Anders...well, ask anyone who has heard him in action! :bassist:

Agree!

Might gonna start a new MXR-exclusive pedalboard :D

Top left is bass control, top right is treble. Unless you're talking about the small knobs in the centre, which are crossover and flanger controls. There's a clear picture on their Facebook page.

I'll be picking up the OD as soon as I can, so I can A/B it with my Pork Loin. I haven't found a OD I like better than the PL, both for subtle 'always on' light OD, or heavier OD. I'll be keeping either one, or both.

As for the chorus, I've been through a few and never found I had a need for one. I use it more as a 'fun' effect at home than in a band setting. That said, if it's as good as the rest of the MXR bass lineup, I might grab one and check it out.

Thanks, Alex. Yes they're Bass and Treble EQ controls, and the Crossover and Flanger controls are just two small push buttons. The layout makes for a very effective pedal. I already have the Analog Chorus, but this is a lusher, more detailed effect.

It's nice to see MXR giving bassists some love. I think they'll be seeing some nice profit now that they're tapping into a market that has, by and large, been ignored or half-@$$ed by most other pedal manufacturers (with exception to boutique builders).

That's a talk talk Darryl and I actually had. For the most part, the other "big guys" act like bass players don't even exist. There is, however, a plethora of extremely talented low-enders on staff at Dunlop.

or if you have all MXR pedals use a coupler. Why there isn't a standard location for side jacks on pedals is a mystery. But for me, putting these pedals that close makes hitting only one footswitch difficult for me and my big feet.
