New Origin Effects DCX Bass

Not sure what make it is, but never had an issue before.
The adaptive circuitry is what I’m after!

its great... but I didn't have a problem switching to it because I was getting the tube DI at the same time... now if I was just running a comp into the DCX and into a straight clean DI... I don't know. ain't done that yet.

I used to use my sansamp as DI...

I’m considering one of these for my end of chain... Do any of you run this way...

just ran it that way Sunday and it was great!

Today I ran just my Humboldt into DCX into Sushibox More and the tone was just outstanding. Clean with a touch of grit and just kicks you in the chest.

I just got a DCX late last week and was immediately impressed. I have it running into a Nightowl Edison in the FX loop at the end of my Stomp chain. The idea was that I'd be able to move it around within the Stomp to experiment a bit, but I've really been digging it at the end so I've left it there so far.

Next live gig is a two-nighter next weekend, so will get a chance to get it through my band's PA and report back. Our sound engineer is also a bassist with a pretty discerning ear, so I'll hear about it right away if it doesn't work. :D

5sg.

If you could only have one (1) pedal between your Bass and your amp would it be:

(a) Compressor (Cali76 or other)

OR

(b) DCX Bass

?

Both are great… only 1 going into the khan though? Probably the Cali76 for me because I do have EQ on board my stingray special 5 and I’d rather have a comp than EQ/drive.

But luckily I don’t have to pick and the 2 together is the beezkneez!!!

For live use: DCX Bass (compression will be added at the board; if playing ampless and passive it provides EQ options; if playing active I already have EQ but I still get overdrive)

For home use: Compression (Empress Bass Compressor; amp at home provides EQ)
