Yes, my question was about the mediums (though I think I had a light E string). ...they didn't last long with me, Obs went right back on.I am
Me too, but in a good flexibility way-- not a underpowered way. They feel even softer than the Zyex lights to me.
How are they for arco? Im interested in putting them on a craved bass. 50/50 arco and pizz. work replacing my superflexblies.
thanks in advance
Does not work here...I did some more 'home recording with my pianist friend, Jonathan Markow, and Meghan Causey singing. Dave Albert joined us on drums this time. Lots of fun.
And, yes, this is a full set of PERPETUALS.

Hi, what is the proper maintenance if using gut? They can rut the board if you play heavily and don’t maintain your instrument or strings.

Another tune recorded with the Perpetuals. The last tune in post #409 I did a little EQ in 'post', with a low cut starting at 100 hz and graduating down to 6db cut at 40hz, and a boost from 400 hz to 10k hz.
On this recording there is no EQ. Signal chain is Perps on my Shen Gemunder > Chuck Israels Mic > Genzler Acoustic Pro Gollihur model going from the Pre-EQ DI to my Zoom H6.
I think it's a nice kind of 'old school' bass sound. Still very happy with these strings.
Rick,
Nice sounds! Were you separated from the other instruments? much bleed etc?
