Volume wise they would definitely compete with Spiros or Evah's but its probably very bass dependent. The front of the note is a little less pronounced than Evahs, but theres actually quite a lot of low end.

I'm gonna 2nd that. The E string is hard to start under the bow. Lots of rosin helps but its strange. D/G are better.

Jazzers aren't great arco strings, but I'm happy with them for my purposes. If these are similar, I'll be alright.

If not, the Jazzers have always seemed like 2 different sets to me and E/A set and a D/G set. I really like the former and have never been totally happy with the later. If these new strings are a nice matched set, great. But if not, perhaps the D/G will pair with the bottom of the Jazzer set better than anything else has.

Cello players can afford fancy black dresses, suits, pumps and shoes and have enough left to have fancy haircuts Bass players not so much. Pirastro uses this data to price strings, Has nothing to do with how much metal needed and effort to produce the strings.

I am sure someone would take this seriously and report me to Pirastro

I could probably buy a Tesla if I added up all the $$$ I spent every time you guys told me about the newest greatest string I had to have AND again for all the money I've saved just sticking with good old used Spiro reds that last forever....

Update: put a fresh swipe of pops on my black haired bow instead of the kolstein soft. E string roared consistently. More updates to follow

I agree. I feel like a rock star. I sent them an email asking how the E string compared between the long C string and the normal length E because I liked the set with the long C, but worried about the E being weak on the normal length set if I decided to get a set for my 2nd bass. Next morning got an email saying it should be the same, and that a 2nd set is on its way.

Made 2 quick videos last night. I'm gonna make a full video talking more about them, but didn't want to keep yall waiting:

Fun strings. The juzek runs tight so these are lovely on them. The shen runs loose so i liked the spiros and stark E string on it. I may go back to that just for tension reasons. Havent decided.
