I saw this a reaction to the popularity of the Squier Jaguar...
99% chance considering the two controls. So - the switch selects P, both, or J, and the knobs would be overall volume and overall tone?
I love Torino Red ! I was stoked to see it listed as a finish option.I'm pleased to be surprised by the color selection on this bass. Torino Red, cream pickguard, an Omega bass bridge, and I'm set.
Very cool look on that finish. We saw this bass at Summer NAMM, and it really looked great, in person. Attractive pricing, as well.

Try this for a pesky truss rod location. A paint can opener is angled just right.Mine butts up flat against the neck pocket.
A few people here have had a slot routed in the body so they can use a bent 90 degree screwdriver.
You can also loosen the screws on the back, tilt the neck up to adjust it and hope the threads don't strip out.
Or you can remove the neck. Which is what I do.

The only thing I don't like about the adjustment is that I get nervous that the threads
in the wood might strip out after repeated loosening and tightening.
Metal against wood type thing.
It's the first and only bass I've got that's like that though, so it might be worrying about nothing - IDK.
Anyways, I'm glad to see this new Mustang has a modern adjuster.
I think what Fender releases over the next couple of years will be a culmination of the pawn shop and modern player "experiments". Those lines always seemed to me like they were merely test beds set up to gauge popularity for certain shapes/configs. Of course, this is just my wild theory but it certainly seems to be Fenders M.O. lately.
Don't know if anyone posted this already..I dig. Just sold my MIJ Mustang...might have to replace it with this. Couldn't find any more info...I assume MIM.

Any idea on a release date? I scanned through the thread and nothing jumped out at me.
Thanks!Stuff tends to get buried in these long threads, but here ya' go (post #89):
New PJ Mustang at Summer NAMM
