Exactly! That's why I ordered one. I want the option to get that P thump by rolling off the bridge pup. Sold.
Looking forward to hearing your opinion of it when you get it this summer.

Wow, almost a full week with no posts here...not even the basherseverybody must be really busy...or losing interest.
Maybe Sire should put out some P7 sound samples, I still interested but without hear it...no deal.
That was quick..mind if I ask what bass it was and what didn't work for you?Well, the bass I just bought didn't work out, so looks like Sire is back at the top of the list.

And so it continues. What's the big deal? No 5 string pics. They look like the 4 but with the low B. Sound samples? It's the same preamp as the V7...so how much different can it be? I ordered my P7 5 in white the first day.
Just saw this vid as well! Wished he played the P7 a little more, maybe he will in upcoming videos
Has to be some sort of promotional deal to get the P7 early, I would think. Is he an official endorser? Don't know what kind of price breaks they get. And he's giving one away??I wonder how much a six-pack of Sires costs?

Yeah, I remember now, he wasn't sure about the price and actually looks it up online at online at one point in the video. He doesn't know what they cost it seems, so it seems certain he didn't pay for them, retail at least. He stated "there's nothing in this for me", and mentioned not just giving one away but that the others will be given to some kind of music learning program, or something, if I heard that correctly. What he gets, I guess, is eyeballs on him and his Lessons, and something to fill some video time.

It's a lot of advertising for Sire, at the cost of six basses that probably cost them no more than a total of $1,500 to produce.I wonder how much a six-pack of Sires costs?
LOL, I was just shaking the bushes....and apparently it worked.
I think pictures are no biggie however in regards to the sound samples, yes, in order to consider buying it I DO expect it to sound different than the V7 (specially with the neck pup selected), otherwise what is the point? If they sound very close I minus well just keep playing my V7.
I would like to get a nice P Bass thump in passive plus a even nicer amplified version of it when I need.
