I just spent some time with a Rickenbacker 4003S, YBA100 and the 210/115 Traynor cabinet. I’m revising my opinion of the breakup. Loved it with the Rickenbacker much more than with the Stingray.
Well just heard back. Bad power tubes apparently. They had to order another quad from the vendor 
I still haven't done anything about organizing pedals. All I have done is put the hotwax at the input. I'm loving the tone all on its own. With everything bypassed, I get great warm tubey tone. I use the crayon side of the hotwax to drive the preamp tubes a bit, the hot tubes side for a bit of dirt, and with both sides engaged, I can get a great Lemmy tone.
I will eventually want the compressor, flanger, and red ripper though. Maybe this week?

Happily trending in my own peculiar direction.
I loved the sound of the 4003S into the YBA100. Unfortunately I couldn’t stand the neck (and the propensity for the bass to hang perfectly horizontal) so I sent it back. But the sound (on the bridge pup) was great. The neck pup, not so much. No idea why there has to be so much level difference between the two pup’s on a $2200 (Cdn) Bass. And no ability to raise it up also makes no sense to me. Oh well. Shrugs. The amp sounds really good with my Fenders and Dingwalls so I’m still good. Sounds great with Audiokinesis cabs. Full and rich with lots of great character.
I often mount humbuckers on 4003s. Haven’t tried doing that just in the neck....might have to try that sometime.
You're going to be happy - the YBA-100 really takes pedals well.
Can anybody compare the YBA-100 to the Ashdown CTM-100?

Hehe - I traded mine in on the YBA. Once I heard the round midrangey response, the SB500h instantly became a paperweight.
My SB200 will start collecting dust.

Edit: Actually my little SB200 stays because it still fits in my gig bag pouch!
I had my YBA 100 out at band rehersal last night. A good test because this particular band plays really loud (I cant get through a practice without my IEMs).
I had the gain at 11:00 oclock (a little higher than I would like) and master at 3:30ish and it ran for 3 hours no sweat. I was running two 1-10s but really need to add more cab (for this band). I have some DI from the board to share soon.

Edit 2 each cab is a BFM simplexx (with a Basslite S2010 and an Alpha_6CBMRA)

Is it too soon to ask for pix of settings from you guys? I'm wrestling between use of the deep & resonance switches or just manipulating the tone stack. What a fat & sweet little amp, just curious where you guys were at, thanks.

I can only speak for myself but I dont particularly like the deep switch with the band. I had the bass at various places past noon up to 3:00 oclock, mids various places past noon at various places around 800Hz, treble at noon. I did use the bright switch on our intro where I pedal an E with a pick (kinda like a Greg Lake Fanfare for the Common Man thing). All good stuff.
Didnt try the resonance switch last night.

Do the jewell light flip from yellow to red when running?
