Was (pleasantly) surprised to see one of my staff members using one as a guitar head on my way out to lunch this afternoon...well, when I played guitar at one point I had a YBA3 Super tubed up as close to a Marshall head as I could get it, so why not? I know a lot of the YBA1 re-issues were being played as guitar heads as well when they came out. The YBA-100 sounded pretty damn good with guitar through a 4x12...
I am sure this head can push serious spl on a stack of 15'' or on a 8x10''

Is the tonestack on these a Bax/James Ampeg type or a Fender type? I had a YBA-1 50 years ago and don't remember what it was. And I wouldn't have known the difference back then. 
I just saw that L&M around just received many units, it is activating my g.a.s. a lot.

The YBA-1 was almost a copy of the tweed Fender Bassman, almost Fender tone stack.Is the tonestack on these a Bax/James Ampeg type or a Fender type? I had a YBA-1 50 years ago and don't remember what it was. And I wouldn't have known the difference back then.

Mine is amp no 9 (in there are three Traynors and a Yorkville), so at least you are not as bad as me!
Do a one year financing (eases the pain).

I think we decided that it's a Bax/James style tone stack a few pages back... not a fender style. Boost / Cut on the B/T,,, with the additonal mid /mid freq control.

You have two kidneys but can get by with only one.
Manual says passive bass and treble, so I would think cut only. Mid is semiparametric active.
